Black Bears at the Wildlife Center of Virginia - screen captures

June 21, 2012

A clean pen, a tub full of water and watermelon...  life is  good.

The sliding door between the pen of the female yearling and cub and the pen of the yearling male was opened on June 8.  It took awhile for the 3 to get used to each other, but now they can frequently be seen together and the male and cub play with each other.

More photos of these bears can be seen on the May 25, 2012 post.

Screen captures are the property of the Wildlife Center of Virginia

More information on the bears from the Wildlife Center of Virginia website: Black Bear #12-0189  Black Bear cub #12-0634  Black Bear #12-0990

These 2 bears can be seen on the Wildlife Center of Virginia Critter Cam. They alternate cam time with the eagle cam and the owl cam.
