Party Time on Jane's Deck

January 09, 2017
About 4:00 last Friday afternoon, I went out to feed the birds in anticipation of snow that night.  It was supposed to start about midnight, but it was spitting snow when I was out on the deck - and within 15 minutes, it was snowing hard.  The birds had been busy at the feeders all day.  They no doubt knew what was coming.

A gang of finches was at the platform feeder Friday morning.

This is what I woke up to Saturday morning - the view out my back door. All of these photos were taken at the kitchen window or the back door.
