As the moon was rising - obscured by trees

Full Moon ~ November 14, 2016

On November 14, 2016 the moon was closer to the Earth than it had been since January 26, 1948.  And it won't be that close again until November 25, 2034.  Because the moon was actually closer to Earth, it appeared to be 14% larger and 30% brighter than when a full moon is at it's farthest from Earth and 7% larger and 15% brighter that an average full moon.  (At least that's what I read.)  I didn't notice the difference in the size as much as the brightness.  It was memorable.
